HEALTH LAW AFRICA started when…
A desire was borne to create a platform that offers space for spotlights on legal issues affecting Africa's health and health rights.
Drawing on inspiration from local and comparative perspectives, Health Law Africa seeks engage with various actors including students, graduates, researchers, professionals, practitioners, activists, think tanks etc;
Amongst the focus are governance, financing, access to health services, traditional medicines, medical ethics, indigenous health, right to health, health litigation, health insurance, research, emerging health trends, digital health etc.
*Workshops* We foster training and development opportunities on health policies and practises for health rights. *Education* We create an online resource database that shape opinions for health and health rights in Africa. *Mentoring* We believe in the power of stories and storytelling that create social change agents for health and health rights. *Advocacy* We support innovative project ideas for public discourses , strong civic voices, government engagement & litigation for health rights .
